Windows RT 'isn't Windows'
The blogosphere is alight once again with rallying cries about Microsoft's decidedly uncompetitive approach to applications on Windows RT (formerly known as Windows on ARM). But, as Microsoft Deputy General Counsel David Heiner reportedly told Mozilla, "Windows RT... isn't Windows anymore." California moves to stop employers demanding Facebook passwords
The California assembly passed a bill on Thursday that prevents employers from demanding job applicants' passwords for accounts on Facebook or other social networking sites. The bill passed unanimously and will now head to the state senate. Similar legislation was introduced Thursday in the U.S. Congress. Read More

Twitter buys email marketer RestEngine

Infringement case suspended while Samsung tests Apple's 'pinch-to-zoom' claim
Samsung Electronics may challenge the validity of Apple's intellectual property claims before the Regional Court in Mannheim, Germany, rules on whether the company has infringed them, the court said on Friday. It is the second time in two weeks that the Mannheim court has decided to wait for a validity verdict from the Federal Patent Court before ruling on an infringement case. Read More
