HTC fends off Apple in UK patent lawsuit involving 'slide to unlock' feature
A High Court in the U.K. has ruled that HTC did not infringe on Apple's photo management patent, while stating that three other patents Apple claimed in the lawsuit were invalid, according to HTC. The three patents declared invalid, include Apple's "slide to unlock" feature, which Apple alleged HTC had infringed on in its smartphones and tablets. AppNeta takes cloud-based approach to network management
The rapid addition of consumer tablets and smartphones to corporate networks has created a greater demand for network-based application traffic analysis tools. AppNeta, an application performance management software vendor, recently announced a cloud-based approach to network analysis with its software-as-a-service offering called PathView Cloud. The tool, which runs on top of AppNeta's existing FlowView service, is designed to provide IT teams with information for analyzing network traffic and troubleshooting performance problems.
